Our Approach
Tanya focuses her law practice in the area of wills, estates, trusts, probate and estate administration matters. She takes a personalized approach to estate planning and incapacity planning to ensure that clients are receiving plans that are carefully customized for their circumstances. Tanya assists clients with many different needs, including simple Wills and those with complicated affairs that require significant planning. To ensure that all parts of the clients’ plan work together, Tanya communicates closely with the clients’ tax advisors, investment advisors, accountants, trust companies and other professionals where necessary.
Our Story
Tanya received her law degree from the University of British Columbia in 1996 and was called to the bar in 1997. She then gained extensive experience in the areas of corporate finance and commercial law at two Vancouver law firms over the next 12 years. In 2009, Tanya transitioned her practice to wills, estates and trusts and she commenced working on the North Shore. Tanya is a member of the Society of Trust and Estate Planners, Vancouver Branch. She is also a member of the Canadian Bar Association, British Columbia branch, Wills and Trusts Section and Elder Law Section. She has served as a board member of the North Shore Community Foundation and Hollyburn Family Services Society.
Tanya was raised on the North Shore, where she now lives with her husband and two children. Tanya enjoys hiking on the local mountains, pilates class and travelling.
